The girl in an orange clothe follows her caregivers instruction in regards to reading. The caregiver asked the girl to show him certain pictures or elements in the book, and the girl points at them. What’s more, she makes sounds as she points at these elements. This is an effective way to show that she is engaging with her caregiver. Another element picked from the textbook on social and emotional development are such as developing a close relationship with adults and other children. From the video, one can tell that the little girl has a close relationship with the father and the brother. The girl seems playful and comfortable around the two. If there was no close relationship, she would be fidgety and would not like to spend too much time with them.
