I immediately recognized that I spend multiple hours each day scrolling and swiping through social media or playing games on my phone. I routinely send and receive text messages and make many phone calls. When I take calls on my phone, I tend to bend my neck to the side and hold my phone between my ear and my shoulder.Ergonomic RisksI was able to identify some risk factors after taking a closer look into the ergonomic aspect of repetitive motion cellphone usage. First, holding a cellphone up to my ear and bending my neck tends to put pressure on my spine and lower back during long phone calls or after repeated use.
