ChristofSpieler, the author of the book Trains, Buses, People: An Opinionated Atlas of US Transit tells the hosts that majority of people would prefer a transit system that is reliable, frequent and makes it easier for them to walk whenever necessary. The approach advocated for by the author is the idea that transit stakeholders should focus on the people rather than be distracted by technology (Hancox, 2019). The author argues that technology has distracted authorities and various stakeholders from focusing on the purpose of the transit system which is to move a large volume of people in reliable and frequent manner (Hancox, 2019).
