Henry, and Maxwell Hawkins LDR/531 June 10, 2013 Brandon Johnson Week fives topic was something we all wanted to hear about Initiating and Leading Change. We so often hear that change is happening at an unprecedented and accelerating pace. Leaders are hard-pressed to stay current with new developments, let alone anticipate future changes. Leaders, who can foresee changes, help their organizations adapt, and even plan and lead organizational changes are high demand. It was interesting to know that resistance in change was natural not only for employee but for owners, leaders and managers as well. Change is every changing within the 21st century and is necessary for any organizations needs of improvement. It is also believed that it is important that companies implement training for managers on how to implement changes in order to keep resistance low and help employees adapt to change without them feeling offended. As the text mentioned, leading change is one of the most important and difficult leadership responsibilities. For some theorists, it is the essence of leadership and everything else is secondary. Effective leadership is needed to revitalize an organization
