Weekly Reading Reflection -R3The three key issues raised by the reading is that, knowing the semantics and cultural constraints that might prevent one from developing an ideal product is the best way to move forward. Understanding the semantics and cultural constraints enables the designer to figure out easily how to assemble the different pieces together and design a product that responds to needs in the market. The other important key point raised in the reading is the issue of humans and err. The reading argues that a well designed thing should give room for the designer to detect slips by using feedback. Designing the product and taking it to the market so that the consumer can test it enables the consumer to offer informed feedback that leads to improvement of the product. The concept of learning from imperfections has been empathized in Chapter five of the readings (Norman 2009).Designs become better with research and the more a designer studies and perfects his or her knowledge in designing the more he or she becomes a better person that develops products that capture the immediate needs of the consumer.
