While this definition gives a broad overview, Nursing Informatics is an ever-evolving discipline thatintegrates with multiple Information and Analytical Sciences (Bickford, 2015) . Nursing and Health Informatics roles have moved beyond the traditional function of direct patient care and include roles such as: Communications, Technology Developer, Educator, Researcher, CNO, CIO, Policy Developer, etc. (Jansen, 2018. p 9). Informatics Nurses' responsibilities are growing to encompass information technologies to support consumers, patients, and other providers with their decision-making through information structures, processes, and technology (Jansen, 2018). p 7).
