The problem interested me because I had and continue to work with many teachers that felt a bit un-empowered in their workplace. The proposed solutions revolved around giving teachers more decision-making power and ensuring that they are consulted before major changes are done within the educational organization. Furthermore, it also involved encouraging teachers to interact with the student’s parents more so that they get to understand a student’s background. In doing so, teachers would be more willing to give themselves into their work. I agreed with the solutions presented. For my Capstone course, I focused on discussing whether a student was in need of an individualized educational program (IEP). The focus switched to an IEP because it was an immediate problem that I
