I would like to personally share my experience as an employee for the past three years. I have encountered some great leadership during my employment from direct leadership. Unfortunately, I have seen some bad leadership within the administrative side of the hospital. Munson Health care is a large corporation who bought four other hospitals and combined them under one “systemâ€. During the purchases of these hospitals came restructuring of many departments and the process in which things were handled day by day. Leadership is a strong point for some departments but as you climb the corporate ladder it seems to diminish. Although there is a lack of strong leadership within the corporate side of this organization, they do have the patient’s best interest in mind. For example, their mission and vision statements flow together. Their vision statement states: “Munson Healthcare and its partners will work together to provide superior quality care and promote community health.†When I read this vision statement, I interpreted a company who will work as a team to support and provide excellent care
