Do you agree with this saying? Explain why or why not. I completely agree with this saying, because there has been a steady, yet continuous shift towards value-based healthcare in the past few years. Healthcare organizations can no longer focus on profit making alone, simply because there is a lot of competition in the healthcare industry. Therefore, the only way to stay relevant is to provide better care at a reasonable prices. Many healthcare organizations have understood the importance of increasing the value of their services, and have already begun to make the transformation. The value of health services increases when the organization follows better health practices, and the patient shows better results. Providers too, can reasonably increase their finances if they have the ability to enhance patient outcomes(Lee and Porter). Organizations that work with increased efficiency to provide excellent care have the advantage to negotiate better during contracting discussions.
