Professional Development Plan

Introduction:A professional development plan brings out how successfully a person has been able to achieve what he has wanted and how the skills that he had and acquired through the scope of research was able to bring about the desired result .A typical school structure never allows for a full elevation of teacher’s skills or skills acquired for professional discharge of duties as a teacher.. the professional development plan will be able to identify practices that leads to professional development .Professional development plan:This plan has given an opportunity to engage with teachers and share experiences and given the necessary support to make them accept the ability to adopt new teaching methods and materials in a most effective way and accept new perspectives which could be accommodated over a wider perspective. (Cunningham, 1994; Little, 1990b; Nias, 1999). Technical aids ,reference groups to whom the teacher can identify and the incentive to grow professionally is what the professional development plan aims to achieve .Collaborative and professional learning communities and networks will allow for teachers to understand that they have to perpetually share and learn and it should be with creativity ,innovative and with collective vision .
