However, this usually is not the case as there are some persons with more access than others depending on their social status. Hence to enhance equitable distribution of resources, there is a need for intervention. Social justice is one way of making this possible. Social justice is the ability to equal access to wealth, opportunities as well as privileges in society (Widdows Smith, 2013). Some professionals like social workers ensure that everyone has a fair chance to live fully in a society, enjoying all the available resources. They use several measures to facilitate this, including anti-oppressive practices. These are meant to protect the weak and vulnerable groups in the community. Usually, people are discriminated against due to their gender, race, religion, and sexual orientation among others. This paper is a reflection on my values, traditions, goals and how these align with social justice.
