Personal Development PortfolioThe course has equipped me with critical knowledge that will have an impact on my career and personal aspect. The critical concept that I have leant so far in the program that I believe is relevant to me is the value chain management in the energy sector with specification in the electricity sub-sector. Electricity is one of the most common sources of energy in the world. Nearly every home has some form of electricity. I personally utilise the electricity which I consider is my main source of energy. Understanding the value chain management in the electricity sub-sector has enable me to effectively learn on the critical factors and processes involved in the electricity value chain. I knew of simply electricity generation and supply; however, the program has widened my understanding of the electricity sector to include every aspect of the value chain. As a future expert on energy management, I believe that the program has opened doors on my critical understanding of the energy sector and have effectively conceptualized on the challenges faced in the electricity sub-sector.
