It seems that no matter what kind of updates are done or new software that is rolled out there are always persistent security issues or new security issues. One of the first well known issues with Windows servers is file sharing. There are numerous issues when it comes to file sharing. One of the biggest is issues with file sharing is when a user creates shares so that they are available across multiple platforms. This is all great when security of those files are not taken into account. Some of those files could have sensitive information in them like social security numbers, addresses, names, and phone numbers. All an attacker would have to do is run a specialized program on the network to detect certain keywords and they would have access to this information. Due to breaches like this it is good corporate policy to not let this happen in the first place. Another known vulnerability is the lack of protection against malware. A lot of servers do not have any
