Medicare was introduced to serve Americans aged more than sixty-five years while Medicaid’s purpose was to cover Americans with a low income. Another type of insurance is the Children's Health Insurance Program/ CHIP which was developed to cover children under the Medicaid category. There is also the managed care type of insurance that was created in the late 20th century. This type of insurance advocated for partnerships with diverse health insurance providers.
