The prevalence of trauma exposure in children and adolescents is a major issue and a significant health risk. There are many children with trauma who are impacted regularly in the school setting. Studies have documented a wide variety of adverse signs of exposure to childhood trauma, including posttraumatic stress disorder, other anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, and dissociation (Kataoka et al., 2012). Lower I.Q . has also been associated with exposure to these traumatic events. Ability to read, lower grade point average, more days away from school, and reduced graduation rates in school. Furthermore, because of these events, students who have undergone a traumatic encounter are at increased riskfor academic, social, and emotional disorders . (Delaney-Black et al., 2002). Working in the school system, I have seen these unpleasant encounters hinder a childfrom performing correctly. Children with these unexplained traumas also have severe school problems and typically show unwanted
