REVIEW OF LITERATUREThe global environment facility has unites which in more than 182 counties which are in partnership with international institutions, different civil societies and also the private sector which leads to the issue of global environment issues while supporting national sustainable and development initiatives. We can say global environment facility has become the largest public funder of the projects so as to improve the global environment (Schmidt, 2003). The Global Environment Facility in India was started in October 1991 as a $1 billion pilot program in so as to protect the global environment and to promote environmental sustainable development (Dai, 2009). The GEE helps in providing new and more grants to the concessional funding which are available to cover the incremental and other costs which are associated with the transformation in a project which also includes national as well as global environmental benefits. The three main partners of GEF are The United Nations Development Programmed, the United Nations Environment Program, and the World Bank.
