I would say Gia was in the action stage because she checked herself into treatment and, when she got out, decided that she was done with her modeling career and got a job at a retail store. Shortly after Gia got out of rehab, she was diagnosed with aids. Soon after, she seemed to step back to the pre-contemplation stage, and she went to get some drugs to kill herself with but ended up getting beaten down and raped.
