One of themost interesting historical landmarks that I have been to was the Alamo. It was really cool to seethe place where the fight went on for the independence of Texas. One of the big surprises for mewas that the Alamo was in the middle of downtown San Antonio. I really expected to find it inthe middle of the Texas grasslands.Of course, that comes from seeing old pictures and watching the Disney version of DavyCrockett starring Fess Parker or the version starring John Wayne. The structure of the Alamo wasreally cool and was an awesome place to take pictures. When we were there, I got to see thememorial with all of the names of the men who fought against Santa Anna.
