Argument On The Subjectiveness Of Goodness In Toni Morrison's "sula"

This personal definition of goodness can be traced throughout Toni Morrison's Sula and continually tests the importance of understanding an individual to understand their idea of goodness.The herb nightshade is mentioned in Sula's initial chapter by the author. It has both medical and toxic properties. Its significance as a representation could be pleasant or unpleasant, and even both. The story's background, the Bottom, is home to the plant. The town's title is derived from a bargain between the slave owner and the man he oppresses. The owner doesn't like to give his servant the land rights, so he informs him that perhaps the best land is up on a hill, the Bottom territory, since it is the Bottom of heaven. Despite its sinister intent, the definition brings into question standard meanings of different adversaries, like good/bad.It can be challenging to choose between good and evil. Likewise, embracing what someone considers to be wrong and suitable is often challenging. But that's not necessarily the case
