I have always wanted to work in the medical field, because I sympathize with people in pain and it hurts me when I cannot do anything to help them. I also believe that I can do much if I acquire a degree in Physiology. However, at the moment, I cannot afford the tuition fee because I do not have a stable job, and the cost of university education is very high. That is why I need the AMVETS scholarship. The degree will not only benefit me I will be able to help the organization in achieving its mission of helping war veterans to live a normal life after completing their military service.My interest in Physiology has been increased by the need to help fellow veterans to overcome post war trauma. When soldiers are in the battle field, they experience many traumatizing events such as the death of colleagues, serious injuries assault among many more, which results in a condition known as the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
