Workflow DiagramServingBurger at Khalid’s EateryKhalid’s Eatery is a busy restaurant in Al-Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The restaurant is popular for its burger breakfast. In the morning, there is usually a long queue of customers lining to receive their orders. To deal with challenge, Khalid and his employees prepare the burgers early in the morning before there breakfast time. However, by 8 a.m., the burgers are cold. Some customers prefer to eat at nearby restaurants. As a result, there is a lot of wastage resulting from the unsold ready-made burgers. Nevertheless, Khalid’s eatery could enhance their service delivery by implementing a just-in-time system. Just-in-time is an operating system that demands the organization to produce a product when the customer makes an order (Vandina, 2016). As such, when a customer walks in, they would specify the type of burger they want, and whether they want it packaged or to eat on site. The individual components of burger are toasted buns, lettuce, beef/mushroom, tomatoes, cheese, and sauce. Individually, these components can be stored for long in suitable conditions. However, once assembled, they cannot last more than one day. Warming reduces the taste of the burger as vegetable components becomes less fresh. A
