Module 3: Discussion 1 -- MS Word RibbonThe 2016 MS office menu ribbon host a variety of tools and commands icons stored in different tabs. Within the insert menu is the table tool, which allows you to add tables to your Microsoft word. A table is a vital tool as it allows you to present information in rows and columns (Beskeen, Cram, Duffy, Friedrichsen & Reding, 2010). This is a useful tool and without it one would have to draw a table manually using other crude methods. To access the tool, click on the insert menu from your Word 2016 Ribbon. While the cursor is in the position that you want to insert your table, hover your mouse over the squares to select the desired dimensions for your tables (columns and rows). Once you have selected the required columns and rows, click on the table diagram to insert the table. The best part about the table tool is that it allows you to modify your table. This is of particular importance if you need to add extra rows or columns within an existing table. Unlike in the previous versions, ms 2016 table tools gives you better customization options.
