The author says the music has become so much complex and diluted by other music genres like rock that the fans cannot even connect to it by even dancing to the rhythm. Lee Evans notes that nobody wants to hear the new jazz style since they can no longer relate to it as it has lost visceral. Lee insists that the modern day jazz should return to how it originally started. The modern day artists should do what was being done originally and make the music organic and culturally relevant like it used to be back in the day. As such, the audiences can connect with the popular jazz culture in a sophisticated and intelligent manner(Evans, 2013).I agree with the author that Jazz should go back to its roots. This is because the music does not give a cooling and soothing effect
