I have experienced most of these phases of the model. However, I will discuss the intensifying stage and avoidance in coming together and coming apart respectively. Intensifying stage is where people get to know each other on a deeper level. People start to ask for or tell personal information to test the trust of their mate.I had a new workmate when I was working at a local retail store. She was friendly, so we hangout a lot. After about 3 weeks, we had shared private information such as how much we earned. I believed that if I shared this information, I would gain her trust. Avoidance on the other hand is a phase in coming apart where people take measures to limit communication with the other. When I shared my salary information, the lady took advantage of me, expecting me to pay the bill whenever we went out for lunch. As such, I started avoiding her
