Therefore, communication is a transactional process that affects every stakeholder in the health care system either formally or informally (Jenerette, & Mayer, 2016). Generally communication helps in enhancing interaction between patient and physician. An effective patient-provider communication should enhance patient’s satisfaction, promote patient adherence, minimize patient anxiety, reduce risk of malpractice, and focus on actual health of patients(Jenerette, & Mayer, 2016). The essay focuses on patient-provider communication as demonstrated in the case study “The Lamb Becomes a Lion”.The case study highlights the experience of a patient in a hospital after suffering a health emergency. Most of the problems or challenges that the patient experienced were largely due to break-down in patient-provider communication. The interaction between the patient and the physicians were mired with misunderstandings and confusion. Even though the patient later got the intended care, the experience at the hospital significantly changed her perception concerning health care providers. Thus the scenario
