Nevertheless, I have noticed a wide cultural gap between my culture and the lady's culture. First, the woman sees the age gap as a limiting factor in having a peer to peer conversation. By referring to me as “baby”, she was making it clear that she was older than me. Therefore, we could only engage in a top-down form of communication. Moreover, she was not willing to engage in a conversation that was outside her faith. As such, she constantly referred me to Jesus for answers to all my questions.
