I have watched previous versions of the X-Men since 2000, and almost all other superhero movies like the Batman, Superman, Spiderman and the Harry Potter which had all been very successful, and this was not going to be an exception. As the name X-Men Apocalypse suggests, I was waiting to see the sudden and terribly bad event characterized by so much fear, loss, and destruction unfolding as described in the biblical apocalypse. The Apocalypse has a captivating start, with the voice of Professor X, as always, oozing wisdom, stating that, “Mutants born with extraordinary abilities and yet still they are children stumbling in the dark, searching for guidance , a gift can often be a curse ”. However, in a movie series, one expects the latest release to be better than its predecessor the series, and this is the most disappointing thing about the X-Men Apocalypse.
