REPLIES WEEK 10Anna RasEffective dissemination of evidence based information in nursing is critical for integration of research evidence into clinical practice and increasing expertise. Dissemination of information may be between experts, between peers, between experts and other staff as well as between nurses and patients. The most effective method and medium of disseminating EBP findings is dependent on the setting and the audience. Although it is agreed that multi-component, multi-medium active dissemination is most effective, the components and mediums must be tailor-made for the target audience. For example electronic medium and posters may be more effective in nurse-patient dissemination, while podium presentations and conferences might be more effective in disseminating EBP findings among peers. In my organization, nurse leaders are critical in dissemination of clinical information because they are responsible for equipping and training staff. This means that bi disseminating EBP findings through this channel there is greater likelihood of ensuring that the information reaches the audience and can be acted on.ReferenceMelnyk, B.
