I agree with you that nurses should actively participate in policy evaluation. The reason I agree is that nurses play a significant role in the society. They promote healthcare and are primary care givers to people in the community (Kallus & Zhou, 2018). Therefore, they should be involved in formulation of policies, implementation of policies, and policy review. Their participation will ensure that a policy positively impacts their role in the society. To ensure that a policy has a positive impact they need to participate in policy review. As you have indicated, a nurse can participate in policy review through engaging advisory committee and political participation. However, it is important to note that nurses need to be bipartisan.
