Healthcare Information Technology TrendsDue to continuous advancement of technology, the healthcare industry has significantly remained highly unpredictable (Wang, Kung, & Byrd, 2018). New technologies continue to emerge; hence, affecting the operation within the healthcare industry. Given the unpredictability due to consistent technology developments, the healthcare industry will have to robustly develop learning centers to train healthcare professionals(Wang, Kung, & Byrd, 2018). The technology trends observed in my organization, largely focus on storage of data (patient information) and quick accesses of these data. Due to the needs, my organization has adopted the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Block-chain Systems. Even though the EMR has been in existence for a considerable period, technology modification has continuously changed its outlook and usability (Health IT, 2019). Alternatively, the Block-chain Systems are emerging methods of economically storing digital information (Yue et al., 2016). The technology is focused on storing more data using less space when compared to traditional storing systems.The major risk associated with the technology trends in my organization is data security. The organization faces significant challenge in guaranteeing security for stored patient data.
