Strategies for Academic PortfoliosAcademic portfolios are important tool that informs a potential employer about individual’s academic achievements (Heah et al., 2017). Thus portfolio is critically important as it conveys my qualifications, achievements, and abilities that I can offer to an organization. Given that many potential employers get hundreds of applications once they advertise jobs, the manner in which I demonstrate my abilities and achievements in the portfolio will set me apart and increase my chances of getting an interview. Therefore, the strategies that I would use to enhance my academic portfolio include highlighting my achievements in research and demonstrating my leadership capabilities (Thomas et al., 2016). Mental health or psychiatric field is broad area with a lot of focus on research. Thus highlighting various research achievements is highly critical in boosting my academic portfolio. Highlighting research achievements may include indicating my scholarly contributions or publications, grants and awards, and research collaborations(Thomas et al., 2016). Such inclusion will inform the potential employer on my understanding of the psychiatric field and how I perceive the importance of research. In relation to grants and awards, I will need to ensure they are up to date including their detailed description and significance. Amount
