Discussion 10.2: Networking Networks just like any other relationship have to be built on trust, communication, and respectand, I had to learn this the hard way. One of the networking mistakes I have made more often than not is not keeping in touch. An acquaintance of mine Gina,helped me meet some people I needed to know to get a job I wanted at my former organization. However, I have a problem keeping in touch with people so I let months and months pass by without any form of communication with Gina. Fast forward a few months later I needed something and I knew she was the only person in my circle who could help me out. However, I felt too embarrassed to call her because I did not want to give her the impression that I only call when I need a favor.Suffice to say,I had to lose out on an opportunity only because,I sometimes do not keep regular contact with my circle.What I learned from the debacle was that I had to keep tabs of the people in my life so that we can have honest and long lasting relationships.
