Learning Plan 06: Closing The Skill Gap

Discussion 6.1: My Professional Development PlanAccounting will help provide opportunities for venturing in other areas like auditing and also gain financial success in future. I chose the opportunities because they will help me in expounding my career and also help improve my lifestyle and that of my family. The opportunities will help me build the critical thinking skill and problem solving skill. Being an accountant will involve a lot of analysis and decisions. Therefore, I will have to critically think of strategies and solutions that a firm would need to have a positive financial report. Further, the opportunities will enhance my qualification of being a certified auditor. I will commit to studying certified public accountancy at the start of 2020. I expect to complete the entire course in two years; thus will be through by December 2021. The biggest challenge for me to close my skill gap is finding a suitable organization for internship. Finding suitable organization is difficult given the high number of applicants. Yet I need such experience to close my skill gap.
