He shares the Democratic Party view of restoring the natural environment including landscapes like the Great Lakes, the Florida Everglades and other wilderness areas. He holds the view that parties who damage the environment should be held accountable. According to his media communications Joe Neguse believes that land, air and water are the heart of the character of state and people should work to sustain our livelihoods through environmental health. In the state of Colorado as everywhere globally the health of the environment is directly related to the health of citizens and the health of the economy. Neguse asserts that the current generation owes it to future generations to protect the environment.As long as America continues to ignore poisonous pollution released into the skies and rivers, it cannot attain good health for all citizens. Neguse is committed to the fight for environmental health, right to clean air, clean water, and to preserve public lands and natural resources. He is in support of bold action to combat climate change and rejects the suggestion that the nation must choose between a clean planet and economic prosperity.
