A testament refers to evidence presented to a third party to justify a case. According to John 2031, ...these are written that you may believea that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Contrary to the works of Jesus, the Jews looked forward to a powerful messiah, who would drive out the Romans, and restore a Jewish rule. The failure of Jesus to live up to the Jews expectations leads to rejection, and finally, a shameful death through crucifixion.
