Hey, Thanks for your contribution. More importantly, your post is great and raises some important points for discussion. From your definition, brainstorming is a collaboration method for groups. This is where new ideas are raised, analyzed and ranked according to their suitability. Your definition is good though it misses out on some important aspect of collaboration such as the removal of inhibitions that may affect people’s ability to thinks. The importance of brainstorming cannot be underestimated. It is through the art of brain storming that great ideas are generated. This method has been utilized in various panels across wide variety of sectors. Thus the notion of interactivity is well defined in any brainstorming activity. Your post I therefore a good generalization of what brainstorming really is. I commend you for the good presentation. However, as much as you have illustrated what brainstorming really is, you have not shown or discussed what it is not. Most of the time, people often confuse brainstorming with other alternatives such as Storyboarding, Mind Mapping, Group Sketching, Word Banking. Lastly, the role of voting cannot be underestimated in any group brainstorming activity. The point is well illustrated in your post and is a great show
