Due to hyperinflation, Venezuela reached a mind-boggling 10 million percent this year. The prices of basic goods have doubled every 19 days making necessities like break unobtainable for most of the citizens. The food crisis led to protests in 2015 and since that time access to food has become much worse. A recent study by the United Nations estimates that 75% of the population has lost a dangerous amount of weight due.Further, hospitals have run out of supplies and the majority of the healthcare workers have fled the country.
