Discussion Board 3.1Anxiety can be defined as a normal emotion experienced by humans when dealing with problems in the usual social setting such as at work, prior to a test, after receiving sad news, or when making important decisions. Mental disorders result from excess levels of anxiety that leads to much distress that it prevents a person from leading a normal life. Human beings have different ways of coping with stressful emotions and hard situations in life. While some can easily control it, others have to go through procedures, while others fail completely, which results to anxiety. Therefore, exposure to prolonged stressful emotions and feelings causes those who cannot handle the pressure well to experience anxiety. Anxiety disorders are extreme levels of anxiety and are a severe mental illness that causes too much worry and fear. Scientists have not yet established the primary cause of anxiety disorders. However, like other mental illnesses, anxiety disorders do not come from personal weakness, poor upbringing, or a character flaw. Scientists opine that a combination of random factors such as environmental stress and changes in the brain cause the disorder. More study shows that the disorder might be inherited from the parent as evidence
