Community ServiceCommunity service is an individual’s act of giving something of himself or herself that will always be remembered by the community. It can be anything, love, hope, generosity, or even a piece of happiness that will exist in the hearts of the recipients forever. This means sacrifice, faith and act of selflessness. It is an act of rewarding and humbling to serve other people in the community.Community service is an act that everybody can be involved. According to me, volunteering to assist with setting up for various events for the community provides a sense of peace and encourages my belief that people survive together as a community and not as an individual. It gives me a sense that people need each other more that they think and that with the absence of kindness of others there be no hope for a community to exist. As commented by Dr. Martin Luther King that ‘everybody can be great, because he or she can serve. For a person to serve the community, he, or she does not require a college degree.
