Kudler currently provides fine gourmet food from one of three locations throughout San Diego County. Kudler is in the process of exploring expansion possibilities. Originally, Kudler was planning a slow expansion into surrounding areas, but recently the opportunity for more rapid expansion has arisen. An environmental scan must be performed in order to gather information from inside and outside the organization in order to reliably choose an expansion strategy. Environmental scanning (ES) is the gathering, analysis and use of information about events, trends and relationships in an organizations surroundings the knowledge of which is used in planning the organizations future.
