Across the entire world, there exist 875 million guns, of which, the United States account for 310 million guns. Because of the high prevalence of gun ownership in the United States, thousands of deaths and several fatal injuries occur annually due to guns ownership. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, guns in a 2013 study caused 84, 258 nonfatal injuries, 11,208 deaths, and 21,175 suicide with a firearm and 505 deaths due to accidental gun discharge. According to nine out of ten scholarly resources on guns and crime, nine have significantly proved that gun ownership and crime correlate. Guns ownership and control of guns is a widely debated criminal justice issue given its prevalence in the communities across the world. Of all the data, that this paper utilized demonstrates that the United States has the highest gun ownership with the highest rate of crime in the world. Swaziland on the other, hand has the highest number of gun ownership yet the rate
