Today one can wear exclusive clothes, have refined manners or try to convey any message to others. However, the way of speaking demonstrates his/her personality better than the most expensive suit. There is no unanimous opinion about appropriate grammar or spelling, especially in scientific community. For example, in her lecture, Jamila Lyiscott speaks about the importance of slang that is extremely popular among African Americans. However, her performance not only raises the topic of racism and discrimination but also implicitly states the necessity of changing the traditional approach towards language. The inadequacy of traditional view of language can be seen in its focus on native speakers who always were considered as its primary consumers. However, rapid globalization of modern world brought dramatic changes in this approach increasing the number of multilingual speakers. At the same time, progress also brought challenges.
