These students benefit from small group instruction. Content is taught to students with language-based learning disabilities by using visual cues, semantic cues, gestural cues, and phonemic cues. Instructions should be followed from the students’ IEP (Individualized Education Plan). These children have difficulty with executive function skills, working memory, and attention to tasks.According to the Landmark School foundation there are six teaching principles. These principles guide how teachers approach the presentation of both content and skills across the curriculum. Principle number one is to Provide Opportunities for Success. Providing opportunities for success is the most basic of the building blocks of the Landmark School. A child will feel more successful and more confident if they are reaching their full potential.
