However, Qualm is only an expert on the prediction of dangerousness. By Qualm not being an expert on mental illness he should not be able to testify on Beastly’s behalf. Although Qualm could be called to testify who is to say that the truth will be told. However, his testimony could help the defendant but at the same time it could be detrimental to the defendant also. There could also be biases that could occur from the testimony of Qualm, and it could affect the outcome of the trial. The APA Code of Ethics is a written law that discusses the intent, organization, procedural considerations, and scope of application of the Ethics Code. Principle 1: Beneficence and Nonmaleficence, to treat humans with respect, dignity, and care for their wellbeing. Principle2: Fidelity and Responsibility refers to psychology professionals being aware of all possible outcomes, but, yet still have respect for their clients wishes
