A tort is a civil wrong that gives the injured party the right to bring a lawsuit against the wrongdoer to recover compensation for injuries†(Kubasek et al., 2020). The main purposes of Tort Law are to compensate innocent persons who are injured, to prevent private retaliation by injured parties, to reinforce a vision of a just society, and to deter future wrongs (Kubasek et al., 2020). Types of Torts include the following: Intentional tort where the defendant acts with the intention of engaging in a specificact that ultimately results in an injury. Negligent tort where the defendant fails to act as a reasonable person would act and thereby subjects other people to an unreasonable risk of harm. Then there is Strict-liability tort where the defendant takes an action that is inherently dangerous and cannot be undertaken safely (Kubasek et al., 2020).In relation to the scenario between The Friendly Dawg, Sunshine Yoga, and landlordLou, there are a few relevant tort laws that can be applied. The owner of The Friendly Dawg took it upon himself to start
