1-2 Journal: Areas of Interest in Human ServicesSouthern New Hampshire University HSE-101- Introduction to Human Services 01:39:48 GMT -05:00I think that the social work in children and families would be a great fit for my professional goals in the future. This is a perfect fit for me because I have worked in this unit before as a case aide. A social worker who is well-equipped with housing, mental health services, and food support can aid many low-income families. Children and abused mothers could find a place to call home if there were housing available.Children who are psychologically and physically ill would benefit greatly from mental health care. Food stamps would be a lifesaver for low-income families. The majority of social workers in the human services sector specialize in working with children, families, and schools.Social workers that specialize in children and families aid those in need while also protecting children from harm. They assist families in locating housing, childcare, and other resources, as well as in applying for government assistance programs like food stamps. They step in to prevent abuse or neglect of children. Some of them aid with finding foster homes, arranging adoptions, or even reuniting families.
