Within the Department of Health and Human Services, there is the Office for Civil Rights, and they hold the primary authority for overseeing whether healthcare providers and subsidiary companies work within the boundaries and regulations of this Act. If there is noncompliance with the HITECH act, there are many tiers of penalties that can be placed upon the organization (RSI Security, 2019). The tiers of the penalties are so interesting to see and the amount that someone could be fined for following theregulations of this act
