I like the fact that I was challenged as well. I have never had to gather information for a grant proposal before. Being able to speak about the things you feel are important and grasp a better understanding of the professional field I have chosen is breathtaking. Obviously, I knew it would consist of more than just patient records and billing and coding; however, the HIM Professional holds a lot of departments together by ensuring compliance.Gathering data was challenging. Access to relevant data sources could have posed a problem. You must have some type of strategy to Plan your data collection methods carefully, and be open to multiple sources, including online databases. Research is challenging because you must contribute something new and prove it to the satisfaction of a skeptical peer group. You must ensure your information is viable and relevant.
