If the criminal justice system puts in the effort to rehabilitate and help the individual, then they should be given a chance to prove themselves and become better. Only in cases where the individual has committed a crime worthy of capital punishment, should it be considered, but even then, it remains the last option on my list of priorities. The United States isa country with a high rate of capital punishment, but it cannot always be the solution.
