This policy statement protects the organization and the organization’s network. Immoral employees could use devices to steal sensitive organizational data or upload harmful malware into systems. This stolen data could be transmitted to competitors or hackers, or the employee could use this sensitive data for future criminal purposes. Another important policy statement is that devices will have security software owned by the organization installed for use in multifactor authentication. This policy statement will ensure that employees are protected from impersonation and phishing attempts. Implementing multifactor authentication is important because it reduces the risk of unauthorized accountaccess. Another important policy statement is that the employee’s device may be remotely wiped if the device is lost, the employee terminates the employment, and IT detects a data or policy breach, a virus, or a similar threat to the security of the organization’s data
